While we understand the effects of elevated CO2 conditions on Cannabis sativa during the active growth cycle, based on the literature reviewed, we can now more fully examine its effects on the post-harvest curing process. These initial results indicate that an elevated CO2 environment during this post-harvest phase may continue impacting the phytochemical development and water retention capabilities of cannabis. Notably, the latest long-term storage and stability study concluded that Grove Bags provide a better environment for the preservation of the plant’s full spectrum of volatile compounds.
